Study the Science of Art

This morning I stayed in and did not go to the gym. I decided to stay home and meditate and reflect. While I was meditating I was thinking about my pictures and how I am a different photographer than when I started about 2 years ago. When I finally got out of my bed I read a quote by Leonardo da Vinci:

“Study the science of art. Study the art of Science. Develop your senses – especially learn how to see. Realize that everything connects to everything else.”

Leonardo da Vinci

At first I laughed, was it a good coincidence that the quote I just read was waiting for me? Then I read the quote again. “Everything connects to everything else” It really made sense.

And I started reflecting on how photography has helped me in seeing things in a different way, light and through different lenses (no pun intended). But not only that, reading, writing, learning about how things work has really helped in seeing things differently. And understanding how the universe works and how we are all energy, vibes and connections.

One of my Pictures

As Leonardo mentioned everything is connected. We are part of the same energy of the same universe. We are all one and a manifestation of the universe.

I really think that what we create or do, is just the universe manifesting itself through us. That’s why we must create. We must break through fear and let the universe do its magic. Let the muses come to you.

So it might seem a coincidence that today you read this post and say – “I really need to start writing my book, painting or taking more pictures”, but maybe is not a coincidence, it’s just a reminder of the universe, “You need to get started now”.
