The Power of NO

Saying No is really really hard. At least for me. I’ve grown in a culture where people are expected to say yes even if they mean to say no. Then it becomes a problem to try to rectify and start to say what you actually mean.

It would make life a lot easier for everyone if we really said what we mean. You would avoid a lot of headaches for you and for all the people involved.

When you start saying NO, then what is really happening is that you are actually saying YES to things that really matter. You start prioritizing what is important and saying NO to what is not.

At least for me my goal in the next couple of weeks is to say NO to more things.

No to things that don’t help in my growth. NO to things that nurture me. No to things that distract me from my goal. Things that are not healthy. No to things that are not important. No to things that I don’t want to do.

Saying NO more is actually a great idea.
